"Can you wear contact lenses after they expire?" I asked my husband, looking dubiously at the packaging.
"If it has an expiration date, you probably shouldn't."
"It's only a week off, I'm going to risk it."
They felt a little weird, but things were fine at first. Then, I started to feel a little burning sensation at the corner of my eyes. It wasn't until lunchtime that my eyes started shooting lasers.
"Ha," I told him. "I took a risk and those contacts gave me superpowers!"
"That's great," he said. "But how do you plan on taking them out?"
"Dammit!"
