CHAPTER 8

                                    

                                              
I heard once that a person can live without food for a month, without water for a week but a one cannot live without his own  conscious for a minute. He said its now my decision but he knew that decision is already made by him. 
                          
I sat in the same place for a half hour waiting for him to come and so that I can negotiate my terms of the deal with him.   I formulated everything in my mind and knowing that I can't live a day knowing that because of me Laura lost her happiness and I can't able to help those peoples who trusted me. So decision is clear for me but if I had to live two years with him than I need to clear something's with him. 
                          
"So what's the decision. "He said coming back exactly after a half hour, punctual huh at least he has some trait. 
                          
I looks at his arrogant face and like he knew what my decision would be. He has triumph smile on his face. "You know my decision, it's not like you leave me any choice but before I sign this contract I need to clear few things with you. "
                          
He smirks and fixing his coat he take seat in front of me. "Very well than, I am all ears. "He sat there with his smugness and signaled me to continue. 
                          
"I won't be sharing room or anything with you.. "He cuts me and snorted ,"Like I am dyeing to make any contact with you. I had already told you that last night was mistake and I can assures you which will never repeats again. "
                          
"Let me complete first I don't like being interrupted. "I throws his own words on him. He raised his eyes but doesn't speak so I continued ,"As I was saying I will be your wife for two years in front of everyone but alone don't aspect from me to perform any wife duties. "I stopped thinking that now he is going to object but when it didn't come and he nodded. 
                          
"Second I will work in those two years. "Saying that I looks at him and he just gazed upon me. 
                          
"Your first condition is fine by me and for your second condition I am confused, when I am ready to pay all your expenses for two years than why work?"he said. 
                          
He thinks me of a some gold digger that I am clear by now. If I need to survive two years with him than I need my sanity with me because its only my work who kept me sane until now and to live with him I need my sanity with me. "There is nothing to be confuse , Mr. King you don't need me twenty four seven as your trophy wife so in my spare time if I want to work I don't see any problem in it and for your paying my expenses I can handle them on my own. Anyway thanks for the offer. "
                          
He just sat there and stare at me. Now ball is in his coat whatever he can decide. It feels good to be on other side not the one who on the gun point. "Fine. But whatever you do remember that I am your husband and my name is attached to you so don't work as some striper or anything like it. "
                          
I smirks at him and said ,"You have all the details of my account but you don't know my profession that's a shame. "
                          
The way he stiffens I can see he doesn't like my remark but what he think of himself and he can't insult my profession because I am damn proud of it. One thing concluded is that if I want to survive two years with him than instead of him coming on my nerves I had to attack him first ,that's the only way of survival with this monster. 
                          
"Now that all is clear than sign the damn papers I have work to do. "He said irritated and put papers in front of me. He removes pen from his breast pocket and put in front of me. 
                          
I stares the papers thinking that in less than twenty four I am signing another papers and both out of my own will. I am going to give two years of my life to this monster. I can feel him getting impatient and not dwell any further I pick's up the pen and signed the papers without any further thinking.
