There was a gun to Deans head.

Dean was a fighter. A Criminal, he had expected to die young. He just didn't expect it to be like this. He didn't expect the FBI or the Deal. He didn't expect the fear and the betrayal and he certainly didn't expect Agent Castiel Novak. The man who stormed into his life and tore it to shreds. Castiel was probably the reason why Dean was going to die. Worst part was Dean couldn't hate him. In fact his feelings on the matter where probably the opposite. Not that, that matters now, not when the gun goes off.

[on hold until October 2nd I entered the destiel modern au challenge and need to time to focus on that]

Ever since Dean Winchester got the Mark of Cain on his arm, his world has been turned upside down. His humanity is slowly dwindling away from his grasp and something entirely different takes a hold of him. Something foreign, monstrous even. He barely has control of his actions and every gut feeling inside of Dean is telling him to kill. In a tale that follows the story line of season 9 and 10, Dean must battle the demons taken residence inside him or be swallowed whole in the process. The only person, besides his brother, tethering himself to the ground would be Cas who won't seem to give up on Dean, no matter the acts he commits. The story of unlikely love. The Righteous Man. The Fallen Angel. And broken humanity. Only one will make it out alive. "I don't want to forget," Cas said, reaching over to grab his hand in his. "Then don't." He leaned in and placed his lips on top of Cas's, lingering in the state of things, wanting it to never end. This was timeless. This was forever. For every waking instant they were together, an eternity could fly by and merely feel like seconds. They say when you are at the verge of death, your life flashes before your very eyes but in this moment all he saw was Cas. His messy black hair that no matter the amount of brushing couldn't make it go down. His blue eyes that sparkled even if the sun was nowhere to be seen. His trenchcoat, red in some places, brown in others but still seemed to smell of his musk. All of it was him. He was his life."

Dean Winchester lived a life that was understood as normal. During the day, he worked to pay rent for his shitty apartment, and during the night, he went to nearest nightclub to hook up with the nearest girl that caught his eye. He was an average young man in his twenty's. Until he met Castiel Novak. ~~~ He walked into the wrong hospital room, expecting to see his grandmother, but instead, he met a dark-haired man. As days pass, Dean finds himself visiting this stranger, until a friendship formed between them. And, soon, Dean Winchester is stuck underneath this bound of trust, hope and love, and things he had never felt with others; only with a sick man who is trapped inside a white hospital room. Throughout this story , Dean Winchester learned that the person you care deeply for...is worth never letting go. *completed in 2017* ~~~ Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters of "Supernatural", nor the show "Supernatural", this is simply the work of fan fiction, and I do not take any part in the show (other than a fan).
