Imprisoned, Zari was scared out of her mind. She had no one and couldn't speak to anyone. One of the Klingons, a male named Mazew Ngurgh, took pity on Zari and gave extra food to her. Mazew began teaching Zari Klingon and they grew closer, a relationship growing.
