"Jesus fucking Christ!" I screamed as I turned around from locking my shop up.
"Not Jesus, Jude." My friend Jude said taking his black hood down. He was dressed in complete black, like usual. Which wouldn't of scared me if it wasn't pitch black outside.
"Not Jude, asshole." I said rolling my eyes and making my way to my truck, hearing his footsteps and laughter behind me.
"So I need a ride home." He stated. I looked around just now realizing that his hunk of junk car was no were in sight.
"How did you get here? And where's your car?" I asked confused as to why he would even be here this late. The buses weren't running this late at night.
"I was at the bar down the road, and I may or may not of ran out of money when playing poker so I bet my car." He said like it was no big deal.
"Why are you always so stupid." I said but motioning towards the passenger side of the door for him to enter.
"Not stupid, just understated." Was his extremely stupid and Jude like answer. I rolled my eyes gripping the steering wheel as we made our way onto the road.
"Jude your almost twenty-one, you can't keep making stupid decisions like these." I said, he shot me a look like I was the stupid one. "Hey don't glare at me. Incase you forgot this is my truck and were going 80 miles per hour. I'd keep those looks at bay unless your willing to tuck and role." I said making him look out the front window shield.
"To be fair, I was trying to win money for my rent." He said, all the playfulness drained from his voice.
I huffed, "Well I'm not giving you anymore money Jude. I have to pay my own rent and the bills for Confident." I felt bad for saying it because he's my best friend, but I have bills too, plus he won't learn if I keep paying his bills for him. "Besides, maybe instead of basically handing your car over to some stranger, you could of sold it?"
I seen him nod from the corner of my eye. "I wasn't expecting you to give me any money, that's why I was at the bar. I didn't really think of that until now."
"I have a short appointment tomorrow, in other words were going job hunting for you when I'm off." I said seeing him cringe at the thought.
"I don't know why I can't just work with you!" He said pouting.
I laughed, "Because I would not trust you with a sharp objects or with money." If you knew him you would agree.
"Touché."
We pulled up to his apartment and I put the car in park, waiting for him to get out.
"Thanks anyways." He said, before he closed the door I got a glimpse of someone getting out of a nice sleek black Mustang.
